DGC Winter Gardening Seminar
The Saturday series offers 3 gardening presentations, morning refreshments, a delicious lunch, along with snacks and beverages, plus vendors for shopping. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the first session begins at 9:00 a.m. Fees: Members: $50.00 and NonMembers: $55.00
Schedule and Classes:
Heading South on I-75 Exit 51B (Gratiot exit), left side of I-75 S exit towards Toledo. If you are heading North on I-75 from downriver, stay in the left lane headed to Gratiot. In both cases, take exit to Gratiot and make a sharp right turn onto Gratiot. The church is 2/10 of a mile west, just past Russell St. on the right hand side of Gratiot. Park in guarded lot. Janet Macunovichis an Advanced Master Gardener with over 35 years of experience designing, planting and maintaining perennial gardens and landscapes. She is an enthusiastic instructor and very informative. Janet is a columnist for Michigan Gardener magazine and has written several gardening books.
Cheryl English of Black Cat Pottery will have garden-related pottery, photographs and note cards. Also available will be Wilcox steel trowels from Detroit Garden Center and items from Sew Great Detroit.
