It's amazing to see how the native planting continues to survive these hot and dry days. Presently, these plants are blooming yellow cone flower, helianthis (native sun flower), Echinacea, liatris, thread leaf coreopsis, culverts root, bee balm, rudbeckia and orange cone flower. The cup plant will start flowering this week. A small group of volunteers do maintenance every two weeks.
Workdays are every Second and Fourth Fridays thru September staring at 9:30 am and ending around 11:30 am. Please join us and/or share this workday information with others who may be interested in helping and learning about native plants. Working at the Native Planting qualifies for Master Gardener Volunteer Hours.
Call or email the DGC is you're able to attend.
